Terms of Service

By using KaikuTTS, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

KaikuTTS is a text-to-speech service for Twitch streamers. The service allows viewers to redeem channel points to have their messages converted to speech and played on your stream using AI-generated or cloned voices.

The service includes voice cloning, text-to-speech generation, integration with Twitch channel rewards, and overlay functionality for OBS or similar streaming software.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KaikuTTS, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

3. User Account

To use KaikuTTS, you must have a Twitch account and authenticate via Twitch OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your Twitch account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Service Usage

You agree to use KaikuTTS only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to create or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Generate content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Use cloned voices to impersonate individuals without their consent
  • Attempt to circumvent or disable security features of the service
  • Use automated tools or scripts to abuse the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service

5. Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any voice files you upload and text content you provide to the service. By uploading voice files, you grant us a license to use, store, and process them for the purpose of providing the service.

All AI-generated audio output is provided for use in your Twitch streams. You may not resell or redistribute the audio output as a standalone product.

The service may incorporate third-party content, technology, or intellectual property. Such third-party materials are subject to their respective terms and conditions.

6. Payments and Credits

KaikuTTS operates on a credit-based system. You may purchase character credits through our payment processor, Stripe. All payments are final and non-refundable except as outlined in our Refund Policy.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. We do not store or have access to your complete payment card information.

Credits are deducted from your account when text-to-speech is generated. The exact character cost depends on the length of the text and the voice model used.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to KaikuTTS at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

Termination may occur if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • Your account is used for fraudulent or abusive activities
  • Required by law or regulatory authorities
  • The service is discontinued

Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. We may delete your account data and uploaded voice files, though certain information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KaikuTTS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

In no event shall KaikuTTS's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

KaikuTTS is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
